Lectors proclaim the Scripture Readings at our Liturgical Celebrations. Lectors also serve as commentators. They announce the Musical Selections as well as the Parish Announcements. A clear and distinct voice quality provides an excellent means by which the Word of God carried in procession at the beginning of Mass can be properly received and given a home in the minds and hearts of those participating in the Celebration of the Eucharist. Lectors are asked to prepare for the Eucharist reading and reflecting on the Word of God so that they can read with knowledge and conviction. >Top> |
